How to Track Location Using Grabify
If you wanted to do some spying or information gathering, then this article is for you. Today we will show you how to spy on anyone’s location using a simple link. We will use grabify IP logger to make a spy link that can tell you the location of the target as well as a lot of sensitive information once the link is clicked.
The best part is the link can be anything. It can be a youtube link for all that matters. This flexibility makes the tool that much more effective in information gathering. And the best part, it is entirely free to use. No limitations.
This is what makes the spy attack this effective.
Find a Good Link to Send which will be clicked
For this attack, to work correctly, we need to choose a link that the victim will like to click. It can be a comedy video from youtube, a game offer, or something as simple as an image.
With Grabify, you can easily choose where you want the target to end up after they click on the link — making it very easy for you to trap them.
Which link you choose is up to you. You need to choose something that is convincing and looks safe. So that choice is up to you.
Making a spy link for tracking victims
Step 1: Getting started
Open a web browser and go to grabify.link
Make sure you only use the official website. This website is free to use.
Step 2: Make a grabify account for more features
Make a grabify account, as shown below. You can use temp mails if you want to, but that is up to you. You need to sign up and click on the validation link you receive in the mail.

Step 3: Login to account
Now login to your account and go to grabify. You should see the below page.

Step 4: Make a tracking URL

The first step of tracking a target victim with a Grabify link is to find a link you think your victim will click. At the beginning of the tutorial, I had asked if you to think about it. Hopefully, you will have an excellent convincing link ready to use.
Note: It should be something simple, and the target should not be suspicious. You want the target to think it is a regular link and click on it.
For this tutorial, I am going to use my own website. You can use any link. You can also use facebook.com, for example. Be creative.
Click on the smart logger option without fail. It can give a lot more sensitive information about the target.

Step 5: Shorten & Hide Your Tracking Link
The name Grabify in the URL name can make it seem suspicious, so make sure you use the shortening feature to shorten the link and make it more convincing. You can use the link with any number of URL shorteners, which are available right in Grabify, as shown below.

If the default shorteners don’t suit your needs, then you can always create a custom link with the custom link panel, as shown below.

Click on either “Click here” option besides the Select Domain Name option or “Change domain/Make a custom link” in the New URL box. Now check out the “Extension” options from the drop-down menu.
You can make it appear as if you’re sharing a file rather than a link, which may be more convincing to trick the target into clicking on your link.

Step 6: Share the link
Now there are many ways to get the tracking link to the target. The most common one is to leave the link in a chat or email, making it look like the link is essential and personal
Share the link to the target you want to track. You can use any social media. Facebook WhatsApp email all are good options. You can also send it via an SMS. Fake numbers can help you with that.
Step 7: Enjoy the data
Once the target clicks the link, you get juicy information about where the target is and which internet service provider he is using. You also get his IP address for more naughty things to try.
You should see that the link has been clicked, as shown below.

As you can see in the image below, I have lots of sensitive information about the target like the date and time, location, IP address, battery information, if the device was charging or not, timezone language , whether I had an adblocker or an incognito mode on, screen resolution, browser, and information such as the internet service provider and operating system.

Congrats, you have successfully learned how to track someone’s location with a single link.

You can get the following information from a tracking link depending on the device the target uses as well as the service we use for tracking. In the case of grabify, we can get a massive amount of personal information about the target device, location, as well as the os and other sensitive information. See the image below for reference.
By using this kind of link tracker, you can get a lot of personal information which can help you locate the person in the real world. If someone is harassing you online than you can use this to track that person and file a police report or press legal charges for harassment.
How does grabify work?
Grabify embeds a tracker and a logger in the link. When the target clicks on the link, the tracker and the grabber are activated, and they run in the background and collect all the device information. Many companies do the same without our knowledge, which is why there are many hacktivists targetting privacy policies nad laws in various countries.
