How to change IMEI Number (Root method)
Changing IMEI numbers for android devices is a tricky business for those who are new to the game. Many times unless you have rooted your phone you probably won’t be able to change the IMEI number for your device. Still, I recently made a guide on how to change IMEI numbers without root. It works for most devices but some devices need the root method. You can also use the xposed IMEI changer app to do so. Before you change and after, do use Telus IMEI check and confirm your IMEI number. So here is how you can use the root method of changing IMEI number:

How to IMEI Number of your Android Device:
Step 1: Download The Ghost Phone App or the Xposed IMEI Changer APP
Step 2: Open the app and grant it the permissions its requests. The Ghost app is better since you can change all the things directly. The App however does not work on all devices so I have given the alternative of Xposed Imei Changer APP.
Step 3: Go each of the sections of the Ghost APP
The info section shows all the device info:

The second section is the IMEI Section where you change the IMEI number: This is the one you want:

Make sure to back up your original IMEI number so that you can restore it later if needed.

The 3rd section is the MAC Address where you can change your device mac address:

Make sure to always take backups so that in case you need to restore those settings you can.

Section 4 is the device ID. You can change this in order to hide the device id which consists of android and google services id.
The final section is the serial numbers which can be changed if required. After changing the device id, MAC or other ids make sure to restart/reboot your android device and check if the changes were done properly. Now if you use Telus IMEI check and confirm your IMEI number, it would be different now.
An alternate method to Steps to manipulate IMEI number using the Xposed Imei changer app:
Step 1: Copy the original IMEI number of your device, so that if you need to restore your original IMEI in the future, then you can easily restore the IMEI number.
Step 2: Now open the Xposed IMEI Changer app on your android device and type the new IMEI number as shown in the image below:
Step 3: Once you have typed the new IMEI number click on apply.

Step 4: Now, you need to restart your Android device in order to ensure that the IMEI changer worked as expected.
Now check your current IMEI number.
